The Yak Awardswent down just the other night and with Deus Ex Machina being nominated for a number of top honors.A big mag for a little island. Their chance to say thanks to all and sundry, the Awards have become a fixture, this being the tenth year. Voting online took it out of their hands. Popular choice was well in demand.
The gala event was being held at the ‘Tugu Hotel’; Drinks and canapés inside before moving to where the big stage was set out on the beach, the crowd was ripe and ready to rumble…
From the moment we all rolled up on our custom bikes, dressed to impress, to the moment we tore though the crowd like King Kong in the concrete jungle with our awards in hand, they knew we were larger than life…
The people spoke folks, and The Yak listened and dropped two awards on us that night, “Best Retail Space of The Year” and one on our own in house King Kong “Dhump”, when he became Bali's Man of the Year!…
It was late when the Awards finished and early when the after party started. People went into overdrive when the crew rocked up to ‘The Temple’. The bands were wailing and the people were wobbling.
Good times we had that night I assure you. The studio was open to snap everyone in their Sunday best. The drink flowed freely, perhaps a little too much so. Intoxicated became the vibe, so around the hour of three we gave thanks for the ‘Nods’ by dropping our pants and showing all our ‘other Rods’.
